Metro Portland Events

Lions Club Run/Walk for Sight 5k/2.5k
An event for everyone starting outside the Pacific University's College of Optometry. Join in on the 10k or 5k race or let your toddler participate in the Tot Trot. Walkers start at 9 a.m. and runners start at 9:15 a.m.
Annual Corn Roast- Celebrating Forest Grove Celebrate Forest Grove with live music, fun activities, and corn! It all happens on the Pacific University campus starting at 1 p.m.
Another amazing event put on by McMenamins Grand Lodge with great music, food, and drinks. Live music starts at 1 p.m.
Sidewalk Chalk Art Fest.
Show off your sidewalk chalk art skills in Downtown Forest Grove. The art begins at 8 a.m.
Adult Halloween Dance and Costume Contest
Ghouls and goblins welcome at this 21 and over event hosted at McMenamins Grand Lodge. Ghoulish delights begin at 7 p.m.
Trick or Treating at the Grand Lodge
Mummies, Werewolves, Vampires, and Witches are all welcome for trick-or-treating at the McMenamins Grand Lodge on Halloween. It all starts at 4:30 p.m.
Holiday Tree Lighting, Caroling and Santa
Head to the Forest Grove Chamber of Commerce for the Tree lighting ceremony, caroling, and holiday festivities. It all starts at 6 p.m.
Holiday Light Parade
Downtown Forest Grove will be filled with twinkling lights this night as floats lit up with Christmas lights travel through town. The fun starts at 5 p.m.
New Year's Eve Bash
Dance yourself into the New Year at McMenamins Grand Lodge. Enjoy good music, good food, and good spirits. The music starts at 8 p.m.
Columbia River Gorge Events
Cross Channel Swim Join this challenge of swimming a 1.1 mile section of the great Columbia River. Swimmers gather at the Visitor Center at 5:30 a.m.
Hood River Hops Fest Downtown Hood River fills with people from all over the country in town just to taste the fresh brews from 42 regional breweries. It begins at noon.
Hood River Harvestfest Experience a classic harvest festival on the Hood River Waterfront filled with pumpkins, art, local produce, and wine and beer tastings. Event times vary per day.
Hood River Holidays Kick-Off Start off your holidays in Downtown Hood River with easy shopping, a parade, and a tree lighting celebration. The festivities begin at 5 p.m.
Interstate 5 Corridor Events
Cycle the Lakes Join in on this fun and active event starting in Bohemia Park with three different lengths to choose, 32, 67, or 102 miles. Starts times and routes vary based upon length.
Eastern Oregon Events
Pendleton Round-Up This rodeo at the Pendleton Round-Up Stadium is full of events for everyone to enjoy and experience. Times vary per event.
Kris Kringle Golf Tournament Head out to the Country View Golf Course for a great day of golf. It starts at noon.
Southern Oregon Events
Free Kids Day
Hit up the Crater Rock Museum and let the kids play in the dirt, but this time it's for education purposes! They will learn about fossils, geodes, and even dinosaurs. The museum opens at 10 a.m.
Oregon Coast Events
Second Saturday Art Walk
On the 2nd Saturday of each month Downtown businesses stay open late providing refreshments and entertainment while displaying unique works of art. You can tell the special venues open for the event with the colorful pinwheels. It starts at 5 p.m.

Astoria Sunday Market Season Opens Get ready for the Sunday Market in Downtown Astoria which features local artists performing. Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Canoe Program Begins Canoe along the Lewis and Clark River with the Forest Ranger starting off in the Lewis and Clark National Historical Park. Times vary.
Shanghaied in Astoria The annual theater sensation that grips Astoria. The box office opens at 6:30 p.m.
Civil War Reenactment The largest Civil War reenactment in the Northwest containing full scale cavalry, infantry, and artillery. It all starts at 10 a.m.
Victorian Games At Flavel House Get away from the electronics for the afternoon and enjoy old-fashioned games outside. It starts at 11 a.m.
Commercial Fishermen's Fest The event where fishermen from everywhere come to Hammond Marina to mingle. Times vary.
Shanghaied Costume Ball Listen to live music and watch the crowning of Miss Vivian and Virginia. It starts at 8 p.m.
PAC NW Brew Cup Live music and fresh beer on tap during this festival. Times vary.
5th Annual South Slough Scramble, Hometown Tourism Day and National Public Lands Day A fun day for everyone out-of-doors just south of Fort Clatsop.
