THE SUMMER SUN DIMS IN CENTRAL OREGON
Travel Tips for Visitors to Central Oregon & the Cascades | Early-Fall 2015
Even as fall begins its effort to mute the summer sun, outdoor fun is far from done. Central Oregon communities from Corvallis to Eugene to Redmond welcome early-fall visitors with one-of-a-kind attractions, special events, community festivals, and countless opportunities for outdoor adventures.
Equidistand from Oakridge and La Pine, Waldo Lake is paradise in the late summer and early fall. Before it gets to chilly, hop in for a swim, or cruise the 10-square-mile lake in a boat. The surrounding woods also feature a system of scenic hiking trails, and there are even a few naturally populated trout for anglers to try and snatch up.
