Gorge Windfest

The Gorge Windfest is a fun summer-time windsurfing-themed festival, in Hood River. The festivities along the Columbia River Gorge include demonstrations, concerts, windsurfing lessons, clinics and a swap meet. The Columbia Gorge Windsurfing Association hosts Windfest, as well as the King of the Hook event, where instructors show-off their skills on the river. Head to the Hook and partake in the family-fun events, where you may become inspired to learn how to windsurf.

Visitors in the spring and fall are more than welcome to help clean up the beaches in the association's clean-up programs. Throughout the year, go shopping at one of the several swamp meets, that help raise funds for the associations programs.
